Problem:
- Half of the people in India grow up being illiterate.
- But some have the world's most advanced technology in New Delhi.
New Technologies:
- Providing children free unlimited access to computers
1. Pros:
- It will help the children of India become more intelligent.
- Also it will help increase the literacy rate in India.
2. Cons:
- The negative outcome from this experiment is that it is very expensive.
- Since it is very expensive it will be quite impossible to provide every poor neighborhood with computers.
Organizations:
- Computer scientist Dr. Sugata Mitra
- Dr. Mitra came up with an experiment while directing a film on global poverty in order to see what could be done to end it.
Effectiveness:
- The children of India who are being used for this experiment are becoming more intelligent.
- Children ended up teaching themselves how to work the computers.
